Lights Out!

Join us for an evening of live music, mighty craic and pure darkness as we pay tribute to one of the most infamous nights in The Anchor's history!

Back in November 2009, on a cold winter's evening, NIE arrived at The Anchor with wire cutters in hand and promptly cut off the electricity, plunging the entire bar into darkness.

But did we close up and call it a night? Not a chance!

Out came the candles, the music kept playing, the pints kept flowing and what could have been a complete disaster turned into one of the most memorable nights in the bar's history.

And now we're doing it all over again. On purpose this time!

At 6pm, the lights go out and the craic begins, with live music right through until midnight. Expect candlelight, brilliant tunes, a few familiar faces and the kind of atmosphere you simply can't manufacture.

No lights. No frills. Just good music, good company and a proper Anchor night out.
